NDKE OPERA GALA CONCERT

The Opera of the National Theatre Košice warmly invites you to a grand Opera Gala Concert featuring the soloists of the NDKE Opera and special guest performers. This gala evening will showcase highlights from the premieres of the past five opera seasons of the National Theatre Košice.

Audiences can look forward to masterpieces by Mozart, Donizetti, Kálmán, and Puccini, alongside arias by Massenet and the great titans of 19th-century opera Wagner and Verdi.

In recent seasons, highly acclaimed by both audiences and critics, dramaturgy of the NDKE Opera has enriched the repertoire with gems of opera and operetta such as Roberto Devereux, Anna Bolena, Werther, Tosca, The Magic Flute, The Duchess of Chicago, King Roger, Tristan and Isolde, Macbeth, Tannhäuser, and The Csárdás Princess.

The concert will also feature staged parts from the Slovak national opera Krútňava by Eugen Suchoň. This production premiered last year on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the opera's debut and received great public acclaim, directed by Vera Nemirova, a prominent European director of Bulgarian origin.

The Orchestra and Chorus of the National Theatre Košice Opera will perform under the baton of chief conductor Peter Valentovič.
