UNTRADITIONAL TIME = UNTRADITIONAL CONNECTIONS, a crown’s dramaturgy of drama, opera and ballet of the Košice State Theater

The time we live requires openness, cooperation and new forms. A blend of opera, ballet and drama in a series of chamber and non-traditional evenings on the HB (historical building) stage of the Košice State Theater. Verdi with Shakespeare and Dumas, Wagner with Thomas Mann, Mahler’s music with letters by Alma and Gustav Mahler. Performed by domestic or guest actors and singers, as well as ballet soloists with the world-famous Vladimír Malach as guest. A person without art is not a person.

The only opera by significant composer Ludwig van Beethoven received three different versions, and three separate premieres. However, only the last one, from 1814, on which the composer worked for 12 years, gained general admiration and was accepted by the European opera audience.
