Opera Gala Concert

The Opera of the National Theatre in Košice cordially invites you to an Opera Gala Concert featuring soloists of the Opera NDKE and guests. The ensemble will perform works focused on premieres from the previous and current season.

The concert will feature compositions by Mozart, Donizetti, as well as Bizet and Puccini, and will include pieces from two 19th-century opera giants, Wagner and Verdi. In the second part of the concert, audience will have the opportunity to hear extracts from upcoming productions, including Smetana's "Dalibor" (on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the composer's birth) and Verdi's "Macbeth."

The performance will be accompanied by the Orchestra and Opera Chorus of the National Theatre Košice under the baton of Igor Dohovič.
