Choreographer Edward Clug skillfully blended a enchanting stage cocktail from seemingly disparate ingredients: Shakespeare, the music of the rock band Radiohead, and contemporary ballet. The result is a captivating production, nominated by theatre critics for the Divadelní noviny Award, whose charm is appreciated not only by the younger generation of viewers.

Edward Clug is a creator with European reputation. The Ballet of the National Theatre Brno has included his work "Radio and Juliet" in its repertoire, which since its premiere in 2005 has celebrated successes on numerous tours in more than twenty countries worldwide. "Radio and Juliet" is an unconventional rendition of Shakespeare's famous tale of Verona's lovers set to the music of Radiohead, one of the most successful contemporary rock bands. Rest assured, you have never experienced Radiohead or Romeo and Juliet like this before – with elegant movement aesthetics, unusual movement plasticity by Edward Clug, and impressive stage decor enhanced by great lighting design and video projection. Clug's unconventional interpretation of the Shakespearean love story for one female dancer and six male dancers unfolds with the idea: What if Juliet decides not to die? Awakening beside the lying Romeo, she recalls through retrospection all the events that led her to the tomb.
