Press Conference Broadcasted Live for the First Time

A new vision of the direction, a dramaturgical plan for the new season and a new visual of the State Theater in Košice were presented on Thursday, September 3 at a press conference by CEO Ondrej Šoth and new directors of art ensembles, Roland Khern Tóth for opera, Andrej Petrovič for ballet and Anton Korenči for drama. The journalists were also addressed by chief conductor Vinicius Kattah and guest conductor Peter Valentovič, who will musically prepare the opera premiere of Donizetti's Robert Devereux in November, in which opera diva Edita Gruberová will return to the theater stage in Slovakia after 52 years. Peter Valentovič will also be the new choirmaster from the beginning of December. The people of Košice also know Vladimir Malakhov, who is considered one of the best dancers of his generation in world ballet, and European dance critics have even called him a "dancer of the century". He has been collaborating with the Košice ballet ensemble as a choreographer for several years, and in October, he will perform for the first time as a soloist in the upcoming ballet production of Ondrej Šoth, Rudolf Nureyev. The press conference was historic. For the first time, we broadcasted it live on the theater's Facebook profile, where you can still watch it.
