Theater for rehearsals created social “bubbles”

Due to the current situation and unfavorable development of the pandemic situation in Slovakia, the Košice State Theater suspended the sale of tickets for performances planned after November 14, 2020, when the current emergency situation in Slovakia should end. We believe that we will be able to reverse the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic by working together and as soon as possible, not only will we be able to resume ticket sales, but we will be able to meet again at the theater.

Rehearsal process in the theater continues even after the tightening of measures since 15 October. “Theater, dance, singing or other music ensembles can rehearse and broadcast performances in online form. The latest regulations of the Public Health Office of the Slovak Republic do not apply to the operation of the institutions themselves. This means that rehearsal in theaters, orchestras and subsequent online presentation, for example through social networks, is not a mass event,” informed the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic. The Košice State Theater artistic ensembles continue their preparations for the premieres scheduled for the second half of November - Donizetti's opera Roberto Devereux, Ondrej Šoth's new ballet production Rudolf Nurejev and the drama production of the play by contemporary German playwright Roland Schimmelpfennig, Černa voda (Black Water).
