In the 2025/2026 season, the National Theatre Košice is bringing a new leisure-time activity for all young talents from the age of 13 who wish to regularly discover the magic of theatre, develop their skills, and create on stage under the guidance of theatre educators and artists.
In the 2025/2026 season, the National Theatre Košice is bringing a new leisure-time activity for all young talents from the age of 13 who wish to regularly discover the magic of theatre, develop their skills, and create on stage under the guidance of theatre educators and artists.
Our vision is to establish a creative space where pupils from primary and secondary schools with an interest in theatre can meet, learn, and create together. Guided by professional educators and artists, participants will develop their abilities and talents, collaborate on original productions, and present them to the wider public at a professional level.
Our idea is to open the theatre as a professional space for talented children and youth who are eager to explore the depths of theatrical art and acting. They will have the opportunity to learn theatre in a more comprehensive and targeted way and apply their knowledge in practice, not only from the perspective of an actor, but also as any other type of creator – such as a director, dramaturge, designer, and so on.
At the same time, we seek to cultivate educated and demanding audiences, readers, active participants, and co-creators of our social life. We see the development of artistic skills, self-expression, self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and empathy as an essential part of healthy growing-up. Theatre offers an ideal pathway to discover oneself and unlock hidden potential.
AUDITION for the new project will take place on 22 September 2025 at 3:00 p.m. on the rehearsal stage in the administrative building of the National Theatre Košice.
