The story of the opera is the story of the ruler Roger as a representative of a social system, a world of rationality, discipline and faith, disrupted by a mysterious Shepherd.  With the arrival of a modern prophet, who preaches hedonism and self-indulgence and is followed by crowds, not only the existing social order will be shaken, but Roger´s personal transformation will also begin.

A post-dramatic stage vision called "Turn your horses!" speaks in urgent language about brutal and superficial reports of our recent history.

The revolutionary times bring verification of ideas in practice, followed by confusion. From a thought to an action, the evolutionary path is replaced by a revolutionary shortcut that necessarily leads to the tragedies of people and entire nations.

A strange and disturbing story of Josef K, who is a banker and single man, who wakes up one morning in his room to find himself under arrest for unknown reasons.

Štátne divadlo Košice pripravuje 24. septembra 2022, v predvečer narodenín Petra Dvorského slávnostný galakoncert na javisku Historickej budovy nášho divadla. 

V novej divadelnej sezóne 2022/2023 sme pripravili pre našich divákov tri výnimočné koncerty s klaviristom a šéfdirigentom Petrom Valentovičom a jeho  priateľmi, v rámci ktorých sa náš šéfdirigent predstaví s novým netradičným programom.
