The well-known strongman Samson, the leader of the Hebrews, kills the governor in Gaza, thus arousing panic fear throughout the enemy army. The Philistine high priest of the god Dagon uses the hatred of  beautiful Dalila towards Samson in a joint fight against the Hebrews. Dalila must find out the secret of the power of the Israeli leader. Stunned by the charms of a beautiful and cunning woman, Samson reveals his secret - his strength lies in his long hair. Dalila cuts seven strands of hair and the invincible Samson is blinded and imprisoned. When he is to kneel in front of the altar of the Philistine god Dagon in the temple, he asks his god Jehovah for his former strength to avenge himself and his people. He breaks up the pillars, and the temple shall bury him and the Philistines.
