The wheels came off …

A small group of intellectuals play a strange game – they pretend they are idiots, and thus they provoke people in the streets, and create non-standard situations. They get their unsuspecting victims into inconvenient situations, trigger unexpected reactions. Breaking stereotypes, mocking of bourgeois morality or seemingly interesting sociological experiment - it all, however, brings some challenges and poses questions. It observes where are the boundaries spontaneity, freedom, manipulation, and tolerance. How long can you play that game and not lose yourself, your sanity. And what happens when the group pretending that they are idiots meets a group of truly handicapped people?

The theatre adaptation is inspired by the film of the same name by the provocateur and enfant terrible of Danish cinematography Lars von Trier.

We would like to thank to Tepelné hospodárstvo, s.r.o. Košice, for making available the premises of Mestská plaváreň, that we could use for photo shooting and making promotional video to the theatre adaptation.
